Alstom Prima 3U15

The Prima 3U15 is a two bogie, 4-axle locomotives in Bo-Bo configuration, with 22.5 tonnes axle weight, allowing operation on most of Europe's rail freight networks. It is configured to run on 1.5kV DC, 15kV AC and 25kV AC power supplies. The locomotive has a starting tractive effort of 320kN with a maximum power of 4.2 MW. The maximum speed is 140 km/h.

This locomotive type is mainly used by SNCF Fret which owns around 300 of these units (type 27000 with only French homologation and type 37000 with French and German homologation), Veolia Cargo owns 15 units of the type 37000. The locomotives are homologated for operation in Germany and France.
