CBRail acquires new fleet of trains for Veolia Transport

CBRail today concluded the acquisition from Veolia Transport and lease back to its HEX subsidiary of 19 new Lint DMU trains ordered from Alstom for use on the Nordharz franchise which Veolia won in 2004.  The franchise commenced on 11 December 2005 and is scheduled to run for 12 years.

The trains comprise 12 Lint 41s and 7 Lint 27s, and will be used on routes around Halberstadt, Magdeburg and Halle.

The trains are worth around €50 million.  Maintenance will be carried out by VIS at their depot in Halberstadt.
